Welcome to the provisional home of the
International Student Film Association (ISFA)!
We are still a very young organisation and yet there is unlimited potential of what we can do for you!
As an association, we have three aims: - to connect student film makers from all over the world to each other and to the industry
- to provide a centralised organisation to increase the quality and visibility of student film - to encourage students to found their own national networks and film festivals The ISFA was founded in November 2009 by two students from the University of Cambridge who wanted to connect student film makers from all over the world. It has also emerged as a reaction to success of the National Student Film Association ( NSFA UK) and the growing success of student films at festivals and in competitions.
To find out more about how the ISFA is run have look at our profile and the council section. There are two ways in which the ISFA aims to connect student film makers. Very soon the website itself is going to include member profiles, screen selected films, offer descriptions of student film festivals from all over the world, have a work experience/ job area and give you information about film making competitions.
Secondly, we aim to establish an International Student Film Conference (ISFC) which will offer students from all over the world a chance to come together, share their work and meet industry professionals. There are going to be screenings of student films, lectures and job fairs. Further, we would like to introduce the National Student Film Awards, hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and of course have lots of socials! If you would like to get involved in the foundation of the ISFA and/or run for a council position next summer, please get in touch with us via info@futureinfilm.com! The great thing about an organisation like this is that people from all over the place can share their ideas and work together to create an amazing, student run project of incredible proportion and impact! We need your help to let the ISFA take off in a way that fulfills its true potential! |
